Miriam Novack is both a sculptor (working in mahogany, alabaster, and clay) and a painter who has created works that have combined, for her, the most appealing aspects of each medium.
Miriam is a graduate of Brooklyn College of the City of New York, with a B.A., with Honors in Art. She has been exhibiting in numerous art shows since 1979, and has won many ribbons and awards.
She was on the January cover of Sunshine Artists Magazine in 1985.
Several times, she has been the poster artist for some of Florida's top fine art shows. The most prestigious of these was the 2006, 25th Anniversary Downtown Festival of the Arts in Gainesville.
She had a one-woman show entitled, "Evolution" (September 8 - October 28, 2007) at the Thomas Center Main Gallery in Gainesville, Florida. This show traced the evolution of her work from sculpture to ceramics and painting.
Her work currently is on display at the Gainesville Artisan's Guild Gallery.
